Mission Statement

To work for the manufacturing, commercial, service and civic advancement of Tallmadge.
To secure the active aid and cooperation of all citizens, merchants, manufacturers, professionals, property owners, employers and employees in advancing the interests of Tallmadge.
To encourage needful legislation to bring about these goals.

History of the Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce

The Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1955 for the purpose of advancing and developing the commercial, industrial, civic, cultural, and general interests of the city of Tallmadge and its trade area.

Membership comprised of about 200 businesses, including manufacturing, retail, service and professionals. Members are entitled to a variety of benefits and savings, such as health care insurance and workers’ compensation.

Each year, the Chamber awards several scholarships to deserving y Two female students with books oung persons entering college. The Chamber also sponsors the Mayor’s “State of the City” address, Memorial Pancake Breakfast, Golf Outing, Reverse Raffle & Silent Auction, and Santa at the Community Center. Monthly general membership meetings are the third Wednesday of each month, and after-hours networking, “Live After Five,” events take place throughout the year.

Image - Woman at computer reading magazine The Chamber publishes a bi-monthly newsletter, Business Notes, which is mailed to 450 businesses in the Tallmadge area, a yearly membership directory for members, and a community directory for the businesses and residents of Tallmadge.
